Will you ship to outside
of the US? What would be the cost?
If you live outside the US, we will make an effort to get you
the Super Peel. Just contact us directly to discuss. Super peels
are already busy handling dough in places like Canada, New Zealand,
U.K., Australia, France, Brazil and Japan.
Do you first start the
pizza onto the peel by hand and then roll the cloth with the
wooden guide bar?
This is a very common question. It is not necessary to place
or shove the peel under the item to be lifted. The rotation
of the belt automatically lifts it as the peel is pushed forward.
It really is automatic. This functionality allows the easy pick-up
and transfer of several smaller items all at once.
How do you wash the peel,
especially the fabric belt? Does the belt remove for washing?
The cloth is attached with two small plastic clips, for easy
attachment and removal. Washing frequency is a personal matter.
Some rarely do. The cloth is a poly-cotton blend that launders
well, and generally does not require ironing.
Will the Super Peel work
on very thin pizzas?
Yes, the Super Peel will just as easily pick up thin or thick
dough sheets. If you are looking to move ultra thin pizzas with
loads of toppings (low carb people), it is probably your best,
if not only, option.
What is the actual size
of the moving pastry cloth? What is the largest practical size
I can make the pizza?
The Super Peel will handle pizza/bread/dough up to 14”
x 14” or 14” round sheet. The cloth, as shipped
is 14” wide. Washing results in shrinkage of about ½”
- ¾”, however this does not affect full 14”
width transfer ability.
Any plans to make/sell
one that will accommodate a 15 or 16 inch pizza?
We have received many requests for larger and smaller versions
of the Super Peel. While there are plans to introduce a slightly
smaller pie and pastry model later in 2005, the present model
is 14” wide. We will continue to review the demand for
larger sizes. For now, additional transport width can be gained
by adding a thin layer of cardboard (cake board or similar)
beneath the transfer belt (~14” long X ~16” –
18” wide).
